About Us
West Coast Foot Care Services is currently servicing the City of Vancouver and the Tricities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody). With both in home appointments and facility offerings we aim to make nursing foot care services accessible to everyone who needs it. Our Licensed Practical Nurse Gabrielle has previous experience working in long term care and is passionate about providing care to the geriatric population. Gabrielle completed her advanced foot care certificate locally from PEDEd, completing both a theory and clinical practice component. We bring high quality care right to your front door so that you can receive treatment in an environment that is comfortable and familiar to you.
Services
In Home Foot Care Service
Includes consultation and assessment of client's lower limbs and health information. The assessment includes evaluation of circulation, sensation, structural changes or deformities, pressure points, skin, corn and calluses of the feet. Education is provided on foot health and care. Referrals are made if required to other health professionals. Nurse cleans, trims, cuts and file nails, reduces or removes calluses and corns and treatment is completed with the application of Podo Expert foot foam.
Onyfix Application
Onyfix is a revolutionary nail correction system, which helps ingrown or involuted toenails grow back to their natural shape without the need for surgery or any pain. Onyfix uses a hardened composite material which is cured by a LED light and acts like a brace on the nail plate. This ensures that the nail remains in the correct shape as it grows from the base of the nail until the end, thus reshaping the pathway for the new nail growth.
Facility Foot Care Services
Customizable to your individual facilities needs. In an assisted living facility our foot care nurse usually sets up in one multipurpose room in the facility and has residents come to the room at their schedule appointment time for their foot care visit. The foot care nurse is on site once every 6 weeks for residents to maintain their best foot health. Each resident receives our standard foot care service we provide to our in home foot care clients. Special facility rates in place.
